Codemasters wants your feedback on Mines of Moria

You've now had almost two weeks to get your feet wet in Lord of the Rings Online's Mines of Moria expansion, and now Codemasters and Turbine want to know what you think. Do you enjoy the new Legendary Weapons? Do you hate the new combat system? Do you want to scream every time you see a pack of Wardens running around in game?

Know Your LotRO Lore: The Rings of Power

You may realize that the essential plot for the Lord of the Rings books has something to do with a ring, or at least we'd hope you do. Perhaps you know that there is this one ring that keeps making Hobbits invisible, and a bunch of Orcs want it really, really badly. But other than that, you're lost to the origins and impact that this ring has in relation to the grand scheme of things.

Hero's guide to Moria's Silvertine Lodes

The deep Silvertine Lodes were once a great resource for mithril and stone used in building the fortresses throughout Moria and funding its expansion. Most of your adventures in this area will revolve around saving lost travelers or defeating the Goblin infestation, but regardless of the task, your presence is sorely needed.

Turbine marches to the beat of its own drum, continued yearly expansions

So players can expect the same amount of book updates and further yearly expansions, which sounds like it can only be a good thing for a game that at launch was often tagged with the, "Not enough to do at end-game" complaint. It doesn't seem like that's ever going to become a problem again, however.

Lord of the Rings Online weekend server difficulties

We've already introduced you to the Druids and Scion of Set, and so as to keep the ball rolling (or so they say), we're gonna let you have a meet-and-greet of sorts with even more characters you'll encounter in Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures.

Matt Miller on Inventing in City of Heroes/Villains

Item customization's the "in" thing in MMORPGs these days, and in their next free expansion, City of Heroes (and City of Villains, of course) will also be implementing their own crafting system.

Make your own FFXI dungeons, Fan Fest recap

Writing for Gamastura, freelance writer Emily Balistrieri has a lengthy run-down on the biggest party of the year for Final Fantasy XI fans: Fan Fest. She offers up two features for the price of one. Here is also a very interesting mmorpg game called Warhammer Online.

Arden released to the public

Arden, the MMO supposedly based around "the world of William Shakespeare," has been released... kind of. I've been waiting for this one for a while-- who wouldn't want to walk the halls of Kronborg Castle with Hamlet, or visit Banquo's banquet with MacBeth?

Chinese government developing Virtual World business district

The connection between the country of China and online gaming has been a running theme in recent years, with the negative press of 'farmers' outweighing the news of enthusiastic investments by regional businesses.
